Top advertising professionals, Rani Vaz, Director of Music at BBDO, New York, Vico Benevides, Executive Creative Director at Blue Hive / JWT in Sao Paulo, Ingmar Rehberg, MD + Composer at Yessian, Hamburg, Ramesh Sathiah, Creative Director + Composer at Song Zu, Sydney and Thomas Jamois, Music Supervisor at Creaminal, Paris, have recently joined the other eminent members who are poised and ready to begin judging at the end of May.

The countdown has now begun and the worldwide advertising community are invited to enter by midnight on Friday 6th May into 2016’s International Music+Sound Awards any work from the last year they feel has been notably enriched by the music or sound design.

Jury member Cassiano Saldanha, Creative Director at Apple points out, "For many years we've seen a number of advertising festivals shaping our industry. Some of them award creativity, others are focused on execution, but it's been rare to see the creative market giving the deserved accolades to sound work. The International Music+Sound Awards have been a great way to reveal and value so many talented professionals and companies that are usually behind the curtains."

Globally celebrating creative excellence in music and sound design in advertising and the rest of the media, The International Music+Sound Awards consists of 28 categories across five disciplines: Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design, Best Sync, Best Re-Records + Adaptations and Best Use of Production Music.

Emma Maguire, Managing Director, comments, “Once again we’re delighted that the music and sound design industries have come together worldwide and given their support to enable this competition to take place. This year we’re seeing our reach grow in many territories and it truly is an honour to help give prominence to the phenomenally talented professionals who show excellence in creating, sourcing and commissioning music and sound in the media around the world.”

She goes on to say, “For a fifth year we are thrilled to be donating £5 from every entry to the Awards’ charity partner, Nordoff Robbins, to help support the incredible work they do there.  The organisation literally transforms lives with music therapy and every entrant is contributing towards this.”

Eligibility period is 25th March 2015 to 15th April 2016. Entry Deadline: Midnight, Friday 6th May.  Further details can be found, and submissions made, here.
