Accomplished producer set to expand Finger Music’s presence in the UK & Europe

Finger Music announces the appointment of Emmalou Johnson, who joins the company’s London office as Head of Business Development. In her new role, Emmalou will be expanding Finger Music’s presence in the UK & Europe and developing the company’s relationships.

Emmalou’s appointment follows an illustrious career in the industry, which has seen her produce for a number of high profile agencies, production companies and sound studios. As a Freelance Senior Producer Emmalou has worked for agencies including Leo Burnett Group UK, Mother London, BBH, CHI & Parners, before going full time as a Senior TV Producer at AMV BBDO. Over the last few years she has also worked as Head of Strategy at Major Tom.

To her new role, Emmalou brings her formidable reputation and longstanding love for music. Growing up in a musical household, Emmalou later specialised in music production at university.

Commenting on the appointment, Emmalou says: “Finger Music is a very well-established company, with a fantastic reputation and a brilliant showreel. Originally, when I came to London 20 years ago (gulp!), I had wanted to work in the music industry.  I ended up falling into advertising production, but had always fancied moving back into the field of music somehow. This role presented the perfect opportunity to come full circle. In my new role, I’ll be looking to expand Finger’s reach in Europe and build on the stellar reputations they have established in the UK and USA.”

John Murrell, Partner and Executive Producer at Finger Music, comments: “It’s rare in commercials production to find somebody who has experience across all parts of the business from agency to production to audio post. Emmalou has worked in all of these areas and totally understands how they connect. What’s more, she has great contacts and is hugely respected within the industry. In her new role, she will be engaging new clients and seeking new opportunities for us. We’ve built up a strong reputation and a diverse roster of clients at Finger Music over the years but we are always on the lookout for the new and interesting creative partnerships.”
