FINCH’s director Sophia Banks is now available for commercial work after finishing her debut feature, Black Site, which was teased with its first trailer this week.

Banks, known for her campaigns for Target, Range Rover, Chobani and more, has spent years combining her love of action cinema, science fiction, and high fashion, bringing a singular vision to her commercial work.

Black Site is the culmination of these obsessions, a taut thriller that combines the sheen of Michael Mann with a sense of mystery and surreal immersion that is entirely Banks’ own.

Co-starring Jason Clarke, recently cast in Christopher Nolan’s hotly anticipated Oppenheimer, the film follows CIA agent Abby Trent (Michelle Monaghan) as she is tasked with overseeing a secret CIA facility designed to house especially dangerous criminals.

When the notorious killer Hatchet (Clarke) is transferred to her facility, Trent is drawn into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with her nemesis, one that throws her backwards into a terrible tragedy in her past.

Also starring Jai Courtney, known for his role in the big budget Hollywood tentpole The Suicide Squad, Banks has described the film as an 'action-packed ride'."

Shot during the coronavirus pandemic in both Australia’s Gold Coast and Byron Bay, Black Site continues to pick up buzz ahead of its 29 April 2022 release in the United States.
