Filming Scotland, the leading Edinburgh-based production and service production company, has now launched its own creative production arm, Salt n’ Sauce. Filming Scotland will now fully focus on service production in Scotland, with Salt n’ Sauce producing all commercial and branded content projects. In 2022 Filming Scotland produced the epic heritage piece, ‘The Spirit of 1926’ for The Macallan, directed by Mike Newell and starring Emily Mortimer through Leith.
Led by MD David Neilson and Executive producer Fraser Jamieson, Salt n’ Sauce will be working with the next generation of Scottish filmmakers as well as established talent to increase Scotland’s Prescence in the UK commercial production landscape. As well as a roster of diverse directors, Electric Studios, the full-service creative unit embedded within Electric Theatre Collective, will be joining Salt n’ Sauce as their mixed media and animation partners in Scotland.
Salt n’ Sauce also encourages those with their own projects to work and collaborate through their in-house studio, SNS Studios, bringing passion projects to life a fundamental part of their ethos and ongoing creative process.
“Scotland is producing some seriously talented filmmakers. It’s a really exciting and inspiring place to be, so this is the perfect time to add this new chapter to Filming Scotland” Says EP Fraser Jamieson.
