PepsiCo Malaysia has appointed FCB to handle a major festive campaign for its Quaker Oats brand that’s scheduled to run for Malaysia later this year. FCB secured the win following a competitive pitch which saw a number of agencies take part.
When asked why FCB was selected Melinda Ong, marketing manager PepsiCo Malaysia said “FCB’s idea truly stood out with its sharp, insightful strategy that enabled us to deliver a clear, structured on-brand message via an engaging content that’s contextual to the needs of our intended audience.”
The agency’s scope of work originally consisted of advertising, social media and content creation but the remit was further expanded with FCB bringing on-board Go Communications as a specialist partner to handle PR duties.
This latest win builds on FCB’s growth momentum which saw the agency on-boarding a number of new clients in 2020 which included SP Setia, Berjaya Sompo, PERKESO, Bio-Life, and Tefal whilst also winning the pitch to retain the Desaru Coast account. Commenting on his agency’s consistently strong new business performance, Shaun Tay Co-owner & CEO of the FCB Malaysia Group credits the wins to the agency’s hands-on approach and culture of determination “2020 wasn’t the best of years but thanks to the entire team putting in the hard yards, we still made it a profitable one and even achieved YOY growth. Winning a storied brand like Quaker Qats allows us the opportunity to flex our FMCG prowess and importantly, keeps the momentum going.”
