Placement offers the opportunity to work as a team on live briefs within the creative department

FCB London is revamping its creative placement scheme, replacing the current programme with a six-month, paid, in-agency course, offering the opportunity to work as a team on live briefs within the agency’s high energy creative department.

Successful applicants for the new style placement will pitch against up to four other teams who will all present their work to FCB London’s creative and executive creative directors before being selected. This means that all the teams in the running will get the chance to present to and receive feedback from some of the best creative minds in the business. Two teams a year will be awarded the placement.

“Nurturing up and coming talent is so important,” commented Mike Mackenzie, senior creative copywriter and Greg Harvey, senior art director at FCB London. “We’re massive advocates of supporting creatives at the start of their careers. With the revamped scheme, teams will have more time to find their flow and learn from the experienced creatives around them, learning new skills as well as honing existing ones.”

The winning team will be treated as full-time employees at the agency, with a competitive benefits package and holiday allowance. They will have access to all the resources available to everyone who works at FCB London and will get the chance to work on live briefs across the agency’s portfolio of brands.

“We really hope that this scheme will open the door to up and coming talent and allow them to get experience in a meaningful way,” said FCB London mid-weight art director, Amy Bland who commenced working at FCB post a creative placement. “With a six-month placement, the teams will have the time and support to really find their feet and demonstrate their potential.”

Katy Wright, CEO at FCB London added, “We’re committed to creating an environment where people can do the best work of their careers, and that includes those at the beginning of that journey. The new scheme gives them that environment and that time, which they need to build those all-important craft skills, work side by side with the wider team, and hopefully flourish.”

Portfolios should be sent here before 28th February 2025.
