SEEK, the inaugural innovation programme hosted by Essence, aims to uncover the most exciting and transformative marketing innovations emerging from around the world. Digital agency Essence has today announced the eight finalists for SEEK, which will reward some of the best, most forward-thinking companies in the industry from across the world.
Over 40 nominations were put forward for consideration by an advisory board, who met last week to decide which eight should go through to the live final. The high-profile advisory board included senior participants from Silicon Valley Bank, Google, AOL, Econsultancy, House of Fraser and Essence, plus entrepreneurs and key marketing influencers from the industry.*
The eight finalists were selected by the advisory board because they demonstrated market-leading technology and innovations that are contributing to the changing face of marketing. The eight finalists are (in alphabetical order):
- Appinions
- Chirp
- Drawbridge
- Evrything
- PlayCaptcha/Future Ad labs
- Shopperception
- Stipple
- Wooshii
Matt Isaacs, founding partner & CEO, Essence said, “Technology and the internet are driving an unprecedented pace of change in marketing and as a result extraordinary new businesses are emerging to help marketers deliver better results, but the choice can often be overwhelming. So we have launched SEEK to discover the innovators that will shape the marketing landscape of tomorrow and help them gain recognition in the industry.
“Marketing innovation has played a crucial role in the development of Essence and
the success of our clients. SEEK is an opportunity for us to discover up-and-coming businesses that will contribute to the growth of our clients and also provide a platform for those businesses to become known in the industry. I am looking forward to congratulating the winner of our inaugural SEEK award.”
All eight finalists will present to a panel of expert judges on the 9 July in front of a live audience of marketers and industry commentators at the RSA in London.
This is the first in a series of SEEK events that will be hosted by Essence around the world.
