Droga5 Launches 6th D5in10 Intern Academy

Internship program aims to help people with a creative spark who haven’t figured out where to apply their talents

Droga5 is launching its 6th annual D5in10 Academy, the agency’s internship program dedicated to helping people with a creative spark who haven’t necessarily figured out where to apply their talents, had the opportunity to build a portfolio in ad school, or have gotten a foot in the door at an ad agency in some other way. People can start applying now until Monday, February 12th at 11:59pm ET. The Academy is completely free, and classes will be held in person at our NYC office on 120 Wall Street every Wednesday starting March 13th from 6-8:30pm ET. 

Ultimately, Droga5’s goal is to help people get started in advertising by providing them with tools to succeed through hands-on instruction from Droga5 professionals. One of the biggest outcomes of the D5in10 Academy is that students now have a greater sense of confidence and structure in how they approach their creative work, regardless of whether or not they choose to pursue a job in the field of advertising. The program has been such a success with several students moving on to creative industry-related careers at companies such as DDB, Publicis, SJR, VMLY&R, Airbnb and more. We’ve also had D5in10 students go on to full-time positions as creatives at our agency. 

Droga5’s D5in10 Academy is the agency’s 10-week course designed to teach creators of all disciplines the essence of advertising concepting, building campaigns, art direction and copywriting and more. 

Developed in 2017 by Droga5’s creative department, this year’s D5in10 will host 20+ high-potential creatives from a mix of creatively, socioeconomically, diverse backgrounds to promote opportunity and accessibility in the advertising industry. The 10-week curriculum takes place once a week for three-hours where Droga5’s award-winning creatives divide the program between instruction and portfolio building assignments.
