It’s a tool within the letgo iPhone/Android app that lets users create big budget commercials that seamlessly incorporate the item they’re selling with just a few clicks. Users choose between a quintessential '80s action blockbuster starring Dolph Lundgren, a sensualised perfume spot, a performance enhancement prescription drug ad, and an absurd home shopping segment.
After creating a classified ad on letgo, users simply pick from the four amusing commercial ‘styles’ described above and then the ‘Commercializer’ incorporates the seller’s item, description, price and location into the ad. The resulting commercial lives alongside the item on the letgo app, and can be shared across the user’s social networks.
