Director Filip Tellander Helms an Everyday Heist for Supermarket Coop

Giants & Toys have teamed up with agency Forsman & Bodensfors and Coop Sweden in their latest campaign praising Coop’s members. 

Directed and shot by Filip Tellander, the film highlights the benefits of becoming a member, which as the film clearly states, includes co-ownership. 

"Every day life is like an organised heist.’, explains Filip. ‘Getting the kids ready with five different layers at time and getting them out the door while the clock is still ticking. Picking up groceries, making a plan, sticking to it. Coming up with ingenious diversions just to avoid passing by all the candy and toys at the check out so that one of the kids won’t start flipping out."

"I felt strongly there’s a connection between the two and that there is comedy in making mundane things at home in a Scorsese film. Switching bags & stashing food as if it was money. I grew up adoring the aesthetics of films like Casino and Goodfellas and wanted that same badass feel and intensity, but without taking ourselves too seriously. Making it light and silly at the same time."

"So I tried to keep a playful attitude towards the whole project while shooting it as well. I shot it myself in order to be spontaneous and bring it to life while I watched it through the camera."
