Director and Creative Alex Dickinson Joins Curly

Curly Films are thrilled to welcome director Alex Dickinson into the fold. Alex, having spent the last eight years at ITV as a creative and a director, returns to the world of commercials under Curly’s roster.

His career began at BBH in Singapore before stepping into the world of television to hone his skills as a director. At ITV Creative he was responsible for a raft of idents, rebrands, charity initiatives and brand launches. He has directed an array of famous faces from Vernon Kay to Gemma Collins and the cast of TOWIE working on brands such as Love Island, Game of Talents and Calm to name a small few.

Alex has also won for his work for ITV, several Promax for Coronation Street, Britain's Got Talent & Family Guy. A Creative Circle & Cannes Lions Bronze for Best Channel Rebrand and a D&AD pencil.

Alex is excited to step back into the world of advertising - bringing with him a love for creativity and hopefully a fresh and unique perspective from his time in TV.

Alex says, “I am delighted to be part of this dynamic production company and I'm looking forward to working with their talented team. I’m hoping I can contribute my skills and passion for storytelling to help create meaningful and memorable content that resonates with audiences and leaves a lasting impact”.

Julia Frost, co-founder, Curly Films says, "Alex has a unique creative approach to his work. He shoots and edits stylishly managing to instil wry humour and irony at the same time making his work slick and fun to watch. We're delighted to have a director of his calibre and TV experience on our roster and look forward to seeing his commercial work develop."
