Global marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi has appointed David Carr as Strategy Director.
Carr joins from advertising agency JWT, where he was Planning Director leading digital strategy for Johnson & Johnson in EMEA and the Nordics. Last year he was awarded a Gold APG Award for his work on the Benadryl Social Pollen Count app and was named Google Planning Innovator of the Year 2013.
Carr has held a diverse range of positions across design, user experience and strategy, holding the dual role of Planning Director and Head of UX at JWT between 2010 and 2012. Prior to joining JWT he spent three years at Chemistry Communications Group, joining as Interactive Creative Director before becoming Head of Interactive and latterly Digital Planning Director. He began his career as a Strategic Planner at IMC UK and also spent two years in a creative role at Publicis Dialog.
His appointment reflects DigitasLBi’s continued commitment to hiring the industry’s best talent, in order to help transform brands for the digital age.
At DigitasLBi, Carr will be responsible for developing and leading digital strategy for key clients. He will be based in DigitasLBi’s London office and will report to Ed Beard, Head of Creative Strategy.
