giga! celebrated its first-ever win at the prestigious Creative Circle Awards (GONG) held at the Singapore Expo on 18 Jan 2024.
The Gong Awards recognises the most creative and outstanding ad campaigns across the nation.
giga! launched ‘It’s Raining Data’ during the monsoon season in October 2023, pledging to give customers free data whenever there’s a downpour.
In total, 69 million gigabytes of data was given out to customers, more than 3 times as much as the original estimate.
The innovative campaign also saw the first time a telco made use of a weather proxy in dynamic outdoor ads, turning rainy day blues into a reason to rejoice.
It scored two wins in the categories ‘Best Use of Outdoor Screens’ and ‘Breakthrough on a Budget’.
Grey Singapore, giga’s appointed creative partner, shared in the victory as well.
