Diane Patrone has taken over as sole owner and president of New York-based east coast commercial representation firm,
The Family. The Family’s clients, affectionately known as Family Members, include Believe Media, Backyard Productions, Black Iris, Hunter Gatherer and Imaginary Forces.
The Family was founded in 2004 by Patrone and Chris Zander. Patrone takes over leadership of the firm upon Zander’s recent move to Backyard Productions. The Family will remain East Coast reps for Backyard and its new east coast facility.
Patrone has been an integral part of The Family’s evolution, launching the firm with Zander eight years ago. The Family started as a traditional independent repping outfit and has grown into a highly respected and unique creative service provider. Says Patrone, “Now that I have the reigns at The Family, I am energized like never before. Anna and I thrive on helping our clients achieve their dreams by procuring inspired projects in advertising and beyond. Our passion is crystallizing the right marketing plan for a company or a specific talent to not only maintain relevance in this changing market place, but to help break through to the next level and reach untapped potential.”
Both Patrone and Zander are happy to have found a way to take on new challenges while continuing to work together. Says Patrone,“ Working with Chris as my partner has been fantastic and invaluable. We built something we are both quite proud of and we’ve had so much success together, but we both wanted to evolve and grow.”
Backyard Productions president and partner Blair Stribley, said: “We're elated to have Chris in our new Manhattan office, but are equally excited to continue our successful collaboration with Diane. She’s been an invaluable, passionate advocate for our work for 8 years.”
Imaginary Forces co-founder Chip Houghton says of Patrone’s leading the company: “In the years we’ve worked together, Diane is more than a traditional rep. She’s a true partner in helping to develop our directors’ careers and is never shy about her opinions. If something needs to be changed, she’s right there telling you why and what to do about it. This is a tremendous help.”
Believe Media co-founder Luke Thornton, added: “Diane is a straight-shooter with tremendous insight in the business. She is a highly valued collaborator on our business and a key ingredient in our success.”
