Industry veteran Christine Saunders joins Dentsu Canada as CEO, Media Practice
Joining the Canadian leadership team, Christine will focus on accelerating the industry-leading agency’s media offering, driving growth through innovation and fuelling collaboration with other Dentsu agencies and offices across the region. Christine brings to Dentsu a clear and exciting vision that will redefine the partnership and impact media agencies can have with their clients.
“As the continued convergence of the media business puts pressure on the remaining silos in our industry, agencies, now more than ever, need to challenge the status-quo. There is no room for purebred advertising solutions in a complex, consumer-driven world where the pace of evolution is only accelerating. What attracted me to Dentsu is their innovative approach to tackling client’s business problems, beyond just their media problems through their solutions and integrated thinking.” said Christine Saunders, CEO media practice, Dentsu Canada
A well-known and connected industry veteran, Christine was most recently CMO of Publicis Groupe Canada and CEO of Starcom Canada. In the past four years, Saunders led Starcom to double digit growth, fuelled by massive new business wins as well as organic growth. Recently, her team also was awarded Agency of the Year along with consistently winning at award shows.
“I’m excited to have Christine join our Canadian leadership, and partner closely with our media teams and our clients. As we continue to innovate the way our clients’ brands are built, Christine’s industry-leading expertise and unique point of view will push us even further to help our clients win in the digital economy. Christine’s vision and client-centric approach is vital as we work more collaboratively with our clients, and across our network to create ideas-led, tech-enabled and data driven solutions.” added Patrick Hounsell CEO Dentsu Canada.
