Fast-food brand and dentsu X teamed up with Twitch to create a one-of-a-kind virtual birthday party experienc

DQ is celebrating 85 years of making memories in an unexpected way.

In a first of its kind for the beloved fast-food brand, DQ Canada and dentsu X teamed up with Twitch to create a one-of-a-kind virtual birthday party experience. The campaign includes two livestreamed birthday parties hosted by notable Canadian Twitch streamers who also happen to be passionate DQ fans. By merging DQ’s milestone anniversary with the dynamic world of gaming, the campaign offers younger, digital-savvy audiences an exciting opportunity to engage and interact with the brand.

Behind the streams

The first livestream took place on May 1st at 9-11PM EST and was hosted by Ranger, a prominent Fortnite streamer. Ranger began streaming Fortnite in 2017 and has since captivated audiences with his high-level gameplay, streaming for over eight hours daily. Ranger is one of the highest-followed Twitch streamers, with a significant following in Canada.

DQ and dentsu X partnered with ClassyPax for the second livestream birthday party happening on May 7th from 3-5PM EST. ClassyPax started streaming in 2014 with flight simulators, where he taught viewers how to fly virtual aircraft. He has since expanded to various game genres including survival, MMO, shooter, and RPGs. Outside of streaming, ClassyPax is involved in some of Twitch’s largest role-playing communities, with storylines that can last for months.

What will viewers be watching and how can they engage?

Party-Themed Streaming: The livestreams will feature party-themed content, creating an immersive and festive experience for viewers.

Mini-Games: Interactive trivia will keep viewers engaged and entertained.

Custom DQ Cakes: A special moment where streamers celebrate their birthdays with custom DQ cakes and live chat sing-alongs.

Exclusive Party Favors: Viewers can win DQ-branded sneakers through trivia.

Real-Time Food Ordering: Viewers can order DQ food and treats in real-time, enhancing their participation in the celebration.
