DDB Group Sydney has announced the appointment of Sean Gardner as head of technology Tribal Worldwide Sydney.
At Whybin\TBWA DAN, Gardner
most recently held the position of digital business director, working
across large multi-national clients including NRMA, Tourism New Zealand,
David Jones, Red Bull and Krispy Kreme.
Says Nicole Taylor,
managing director, DDB Sydney: "We are truly delighted to welcome
someone of Sean's outstanding digital pedigree. As part of our already
strong integrated offering, Sean is re-united with long-time colleague
and friend, DDB Sydney's creative technology director, Shaun O'Connor in
driving our digital and innovation agenda."
Gardner is a mutli-award winning digital leader including Cannes Lions, ADMA Gold and AIMIA.
Says
Gardner on his appointment: "I'm pumped to be a part of the DDB Group
and really excited by the opportunity to guide the future of Tribal in
Sydney. DDB is a big agency working with huge brands and we have a lot
of talent in the building. We are deeply entrenched within our clients'
businesses, and in my first few weeks here it's become clear that DDB
Sydney offers one of the strongest integrated advertising services
amongst the big networks.
"Tribal has provided creative
technology solutions at the heart of DDB for 16 years. We are great at
big platform builds and campaign work, and now in partnership with our
data specialists, Track, our brands can get visibility of the full
customer lifecycle. That is a strong proposition for any marketing
director.
"DDB Sydney had a phenomenal year at Cannes and the
work that got up is just an example of what we can do. In Tribal there's
a need to extend our competencies to support more of these innovative
ideas and consumer experiences - and we have to do more of that. We plan
to do much, much more over the next few years."
