The independent VFX studio moved into the newly refurbed 1800 sq ft space in the heart of East London last summer, having relocated from their initial premises on nearby Corsham Street.
The new studio includes an open plan production area and artist’s work stations enabling collaboration between departments, two compositing suites, a spacious bar and their own private terrace. It further benefits from additional off-site infrastructure using private cloud solutions, allowing them to crew up with extra machines and render power when needed.
Daydreamer’s latest work embodies their continued growth collaborating with directors Henry Littlechild, Julien & Quentin, Rubberband, Felix Brady and CANADA on brands including Nike, Hyundai, Corteiz and Honda. They’ve continued to expand their team over the past year with key hires in CG and production and more planned over the Summer.
Founder and creative director, Pete Rypstra says, “Our new home has been great.. It’s spacious and conveniently situated a stones throw from Old Street Station. It has online suites, client break out areas, a sunny courtyard and bar, what more could you want?!
It puts us on the map in a big way but most importantly, it’s a comfortable and creative space for our team to work and socialise in!”
Executive producer and co founder, Cat Hammond says, “The new studio is everything we had hoped for, the open plan nature really works for great collaboration amongst all our artists, and it feels like a really welcoming space to host our clients too. Best of all it also allows us the space to grow our team when needed. We couldn’t be happier.”
