Digital and technology agency Razorfish has named Daniel Li (李宇阳) as the Managing Director of their Beijing office, relying on his extensive experience to lead and expand the region’s 60+ person team.
In his new role, Li will be responsible for day-to-day operations in the Beijing office, as well as acting as client lead for one of Razorfish’s largest regional partners, Nestle.
Li has lived in China’s advertising, PR and professional communication world for over 17 years, with special experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently, he fulfilled the role of General Manager at Havas Life China, managing business growth for both Shanghai and Beijing.
He managed an extensive client list, which includes multi-nationals such as Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Danone, GE, Pfizer and Nestle, as well as several domestic corporates.
“We are very happy to welcome Daniel Li to the Razorfish China senior management team as the new MD of Razorfish Beijing,” said Esther Yang, CEO of Razorfish China. “Beijing is a key market for the growth of Razorfish China, and Daniel has a proven track record of growing business. He has the right combination of local market insight, strategic thinking and leadership skills.”
“I am very excited to join the Razorfish family, where everyone has unique digital DNA. The achievements Razorfish has made in China demonstrate how powerful communication can be when strategy, creativity and technology fuse in this digital era,” said Li. “I have full confidence that Razorfish Beijing will help our clients empower and vitalize brands.”
Li’s appointment is effective immediately. He will be replacing former Beijing Managing Director, Allen Wang.
