Cutters Studios New York has announced the promotion of Julia Pepe to the position of director of business development for the U.S. East Coast. The announcement was made by executive producer Elizabeth Krajewski and managing director Craig Duncan.
A highly accomplished producer and filmmaker, Pepe joined Cutters in New York in 2014 as a producer, following previous stints with mcgarrybowen in Chicago as producer and studio manager. Cutters named her senior producer in 2015, and over this span, she has contributed immensely to projects for the United Nations, the Museum of Modern Art, major agencies, publishers and media companies worldwide, many direct-to-client projects for NHL and others... and for several feature film and episodic television projects.
"Julia has a way of making people feel at ease," Krajewski began. "She is smart and funny, she listens and is therefore able to come up with solutions and ideas for every scenario with every type of client."
Addressing Pepe's new business development duties that will cover the entire U.S. East Coast, Duncan explained, "I believe having started as a young filmmaker, then transitioning to an agency producer at mcgarrybowen and then on to an editorial producer at Cutters will make her an incredibly knowledgeable and valuable resource for our clients."
"In its almost 37-year tenure, Cutters has become an institution with a widely recognized global brand and a roster so diverse that we can handle any creative challenge thrown our way," Pepe added. "We reach out to the marketplace with a presence in major cities around the world, facilitating vast and various shoot, edit and finish requirements. The combined talents here push out some pretty amazing work, and I feel so proud to represent them."
Pepe will soon begin hosting screenings in major cities including Atlanta, Boston, Miami and Pittsburgh - and many smaller ones, too... like Portland, Maine, and Richmond, Virginia. To learn more about Cutters, please visit http://cuttersstudios.com.
