Production company Cutter Productions announced today it formally welcomed Jim Fabio to its roster of directors. Jim’s creative portfolio includes television and commercial directing for high profile clients such as NFL Network, Bloomberg and University of Notre Dame.
“I’ve been following Jim’s creative growth for the past five years,” says Founder and Executive Producer, Hillary E. Cutter. “He has a unique ability to add a dimension of heartwarming drama to his work and we are thrilled to officially welcome him to our team.”
Jim’s distinct mastery of multiple filming techniques allows him to create and communicate stories that are both riveting and emotional, earning him three Emmy Awards and two Telly Awards. His series of live-action documentary segments on social issues, produced in collaboration with PBS, Lookalike Productions, and Sesame Workshop for When Families Grieve, earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination for Children’s programming, a Voice Award and three Cine Golden Eagle awards.
In addition, Jim has been a director for NFL Network and NFL.com since 2008, chronicling the pro football season from training camp through Super Bowl for the Emmy-award winning series, The NFL Season. He also won the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Short Feature for Immaculate Remembrance in 2013.
Jim started his production career while on active duty as an Air Force Combat Camera Officer and has since spent 17 years as a reservist. While deployed, his documentary teams covered U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Germany, Haiti, Iraq, Italy and the United States.
Don’t forget to look out for Jim’s PSA this month, on-air and online, tackling the importance of military vets in the U.S. workforce. He wrote and directed the piece, which placed first in an Easter Seals 2015 competition.
