adidas Originals has officially launched a new app which allows people to custom design the brand’s ZX FLUX trainers with their own photos.
The #miZXFLUX iPhone and Android app, created by Stopp for adidas Originals, allows you to use anything from selfies to a photo of your lunch to create your own unique ZX FLUX trainers.
Users can take a photo via the application or upload an existing photo on their phone. After scaling, rotating and positioning the photo the app provides a 3D preview of the customized ZX FLUX trainers, allowing them to be viewed from every angle. Each shoe can be saved and shared with friends on social networks, as well as, be purchased in select markets.
Stopp was responsible for the user experience, design and development of the app, which premiered at Berlin Fashion Week this month and hits app stores August 2014.
Ola Björling, technical lead at Stopp, said: "The spectacular and realistic 3D preview was tremendously exciting to create and a true must-have feature for us, as it takes customization to a whole new level where you see your design truly come alive.”
“Ensuring that the quality and precision of the design is maintained throughout the production chain from app to factory has been crucial, and together with the fantastic team at adidas, we have created a shoe customization tool like no other.”
