A slew of new hires announced

CP+B announced the hiring of a number of new creatives in their Miami office.  Award winning Creative Directors Tim Wettstein and Kostas Karanikolas, Associate Creative Directors Rick Abbott and Matt Orser, Art Director Eli Perez de Gracia, and Copywriter Elena Romeu have all joined the Miami creative department under the leadership of Bob Winter, Executive Creative Director, CP+B.
 
“There is so much energy and excitement in Miami right now. We're having fun, bringing in new business, making work we love and keeping sunburn to a minimum,” said Bob Winter. “These new folks are bringing great leadership and talent, and there are more on the way.”
 
These new hires include:
 
Tim Wettstein (Creative Director) joins CP+B from JWT where he was Group Creative Director overseeing clients such as Jiffy Lube, Pennzoil, FEMA, Scana Energy and US Virgin Islands. Prior to that, Tim was as an Associate Creative Director at BBDO, where he produced integrated campaigns for clients like AT&T, Gillette, PETA and Autism Speaks. His work for Autism Speaks, which he led as Creative Director, was named the most effective and successful Ad Council campaign for three years in a row. Also during his career, Tim created the first broadcast TV spot in stereoscopic 3D, contributed to Gillette's largest global new product launch with the 'Masters of Style' campaign, and designed an interactive eye contact installation that was honored at the AICP Next Awards and is now part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Arts (MoMA) in New York. His work has been awarded at Cannes, The Clio Awards, D&AD, LIAA, One Show and Effie Awards.
 
Kostas Karanikolas (Creative Director) joins CP+B from BBDO, where he was freelancing for more than a year as a Digital Creative Director on the P&G/Gillette Global account, and led the K.I.S.S. and The City Is Your Gym campaigns. Prior to that, he spent time at Digitas, Rapp, Adel Saatchi & Saatchi, Agency.com and Grey. Kostas also previously co-founded and held the role of Creative Director for an interactive studio called KNK Design Systems. The studio, which explored ideas that merged storytelling with interactivity, held the Sony Electronics account for more than six years, and also worked on Xerox and Toyota. In addition to his work in advertising, Kostas has created interactive theater, including a piece that was shown at the XLVII Venice Biennale – a major contemporary art exhibition – as part of its first ever Digital Salon. His work has been honored by One Show Interactive, The Webby Awards, FWA and Cannes.
 
Rick Abbott (Associate Creative Director) comes to CP+B from RP& in LA where he was a Senior Writer. Prior to that, Rick spent time at Sapient Nitro, JWT and BBDO, working on clients like M&M’s, Jet Blue, Smirnoff, AT&T, Pepsi, Visa, Macy’s, Fiat, Dodge, Chrysler, vitaminwater and Acura. His work has received recognition from One Show, the Addy Awards, Cannes and the AICP Show, while the “Kaleidoscope” TV spot for M&M’s, which Rick worked on while at BBDO, is on permanent collection at MoMA. Rick also writes ambient electronic music as “moon car” with two albums out currently.
 
Matt Orser (Associate Creative Director) joins CP+B from RPA where he was Associate Creative Director on Farmers and Acura. Prior to that, he freelanced for more than three years at various shops including BBDO and 180 LA. He also held long stints at La Comunidad, working on MTV, VH1 and Volkswagen; Carmichael Lynch, working on Harley Davidson, Porsche and Rapala; and Leo Burnett, where his work on the Tampax account resulted in a Gold Lion at Cannes.
 
Eli Perez de Gracia (Art Director) is a former creative intern at CP+B, returning to the agency after a two and a half year stint at Mullen where she worked on Google, Zappos, Jetblue, Panera Bread, Planet Fitness and Nook Color.
 
Elena Romeu (Copywriter) also comes to CP+B from Mullen, where she spent three years working on  JetBlue, Zappos.com, Google Play, Google Apps for Small Business, Grain Foods Foundation and Benjamin Moore.
