Independent, female-owned, full-service agency Cornett has hired Benny Jackson as creative director. With nearly 20 years of experience turning big ideas into award-winning work for global brands, Benny thrives on tackling creative challenges, leading teams, and bringing fresh perspectives to every project. Most recently he was social creative director at TBWA/Media Arts Lab for four years. Before that, he was group creative director at Havas Chicago for nearly a decade.
Benny will continue to level up the shop’s visual craft, an area of opportunity for the agency. At first, Benny will focus his time on Hunter Fan and University of Kentucky Healthcare, as well as the GE Appliances and Tempur Sealy International lines of business. He is dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of freshness.
Benny has worked with some of the world's biggest and smallest brands, which gives him a unique perspective on every project. He will help deepen Cornett’s expertise in three key areas - video production, design, and strategy - that its growth afforded. He is one of a handful of strategic hires that include a VP of strategy and brand strategist, an agency-first head of production, and a new VP of client relations.
“I believe fate brought Benny to Cornett,” said ECD Whit Hiler. “Around the time we started discussing hiring a creative director, I caught wind that Benny had just moved from Los Angeles to Lexington. He was everything we were looking for in both a creative thinker and a creative leader. I invited him to lunch and the rest is history.”
