Boutique VFX and finishing house Stone Dogs today announces the hire of Mark Meadows to its colour facility, which was launched last year.
Mark has worked in post production for over 15 years, working up from runner, to MCR operator, to TK assistant, learning to lace and scan film. Possessing an aptitude for colours, hues, and saturation, grading marks a natural progression.
With a portfolio spanning commercials, short films, fashion, and music videos, Mark’s keen eye for detail and particular love of beauty work makes his style easily recognisable. Past clients include global brands such as L'Oreal, Toyota, Apple, Adidas and Virgin, as well as famed artists including David Bowie, Dua Lipa, and Stormzy.
An award-winning talent, Mark’s work on Rolls-Royce's ‘Black Badge Dawn’ won a Bronze and People's Choice at the Creativepool Awards, while his work on Rationale’s ‘Fuel to the Fire’ promo scored him runner up for Best Colourist at the Ibiza Music Video Festival.
In the year ahead, Mark looks forward to collaborating with new clients on exciting projects in a rewarding environment. Relishing variety in his work, he aims to implement new approaches and techniques in all he does.
Mark Meadows comments: “Having done freelance work for Stone Dogs in the past, I was delighted to be asked to join them on a permanent basis. After spending time at a larger, corporate company, it feels great to be returning to a more personal environment with a tight knit team of genuinely lovely people. The talent at Stone Dogs is incredible, the creativity and digital knowledge is inspiring, and can’t wait to get started.”
Brian Carbin, co-founder and flame artist at Stone Dogs, adds: “We've been following Mark's career for years and had the opportunity to work with him on a few jobs when he was freelance. He's a super talented colourist who just happens to be a super nice guy. We feel really lucky to have him onboard and are excited to watch him shine with us. Keep an eye on us - we’ve got some great projects on the schedule with Passion Pictures, including a new batch of those loveable meerkats from Compare the Market.”
