Twentyfour Seven serviced the production Facebook's recent 'Community Matters' film with production company RESET and director Diego Contreras.
Facebook’s objective with this project was to create a film that evoked the feeling of community and the experience that comes with being part of something that’s bigger than one individual. It was essential that these videos had a feeling of being multicultural and the brief was to convey as many different communities and neighbourhoods as possible whilst not actually travelling the whole way around the world to do it! This project brought Diego Contreras of Reset Content to our doors and we gladly took on the challenge.
The first hurdle to overcome was the casting for the project - Twentyfour Seven needed to cast as many different ethnicities as possible in order to create a global feel and although it was tough they managed to get there.
Once the casting hunt was over the team jumped right into the wonderful complex world of locations and began their search (using the Barcelona area as a base) to find as many rich, authentic yet international locations for the film.
They shot day one in Barcelona, including an olympic diving pool, pool club and an urban soccer pitch before moving onto day two where they shot outside of Barcelona in various smaller towns and villages (such as Sitges and Sant Pere de Ribes). By utilising locations that were close together across the two shoot days they were able to move quickly and film lots of great content whilst also capturing the international vibe that is so evident in the film.
Olga Jabal, Twentyfour Seven’s producer on the job said of the project: “It has been a pleasure to be part of this shoot, and it's been an amazing process from a creative point of view and also very challenging from a production point of view. It’s incredible to see so many of my Facebook friends sharing and loving the film on their Facebook walls.”
