Cinelab London has scooped up the prestigious President Award at this year’s International Moving Image Society Awards. This year’s award show took place in the birthplace of the UK film industry at the Regent Street Cinema on February 19th.
The 88th Annual Moving Image Society Awards continued to celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of companies within the film industry. The ceremony was lead by former Sky news anchor woman and BBC television presenter, Vivien Creegor. Among the award recipients of the event were some of the top industry professionals around the world.
This year, John Mahtani was delighted to collect 'The Presidents Award' on behalf of Cinelab London. The team was awarded for their contributions to film - ensuring that working with the medium is not lost in the UK. Their work has ensured filmmakers are supported, technical services are provided, and the installation of 65mm processing and scanning are providing new services for this format.
Cinelab London is currently the only film laboratory found in Europe providing a solution for film, from acquisition to final delivery. They have worked with some of the industry’s most prestigious clients and on major film productions such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Mission: Impossible Fallout.
Founded in 2013, Cinelab has come a long way from being established during a time when film laboratories were at a rapid decline to now being the largest film processing organisation found in the UK.
