CHI&Partners Bids a Final Farewell to the Argos Aliens

After three years of catchphrases, adventure, one (paternal) pregnancy and record levels of engagement, the Argos Aliens are off.    

‘Goodbye Aliens’, an emotional 60-second online video from CHI&Partners, marks the Aliens’ final curtain – including a fun rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ from a Ziggy Stardust-clad Dad, voiced by Bill Nighy, and a selection of some of the Aliens’ favourite moments on Earth.

The video will play out to Argos’ 1m social media fans across YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

CHI&Partners’ Aliens have delighted families across the UK, attracting 7 million YouTube views since they landed in 2011. Social campaign #NameOurBaby, in June 2013, had 70,000 interactions, and #GiftforSanta, in November 2013, had 100 million Twitter impressions and trended for three nights running.

The Social Practice, Argos’ social media agency, have a parting gift for Aliens fans – a Facebook and Twitter competition allowing them to vote for their favourite Alien moment, to win a set of Alien dolls and Argos vouchers.
