Carib Brewery, the drinks industry leader across the Caribbean, has chosen Accomplice London to create its first pan-regional Christmas campaign ever. Designed to celebrate the role that local heroes play within the community in bringing everyone together for Christmas, the multi-media campaign will run across cinema, Christmas special television, OOH, Print, Social and In-Store across the entire region throughout the holiday season beginning early November.
Antron Forte, category manager – beer, stout and cider at CARIB BREWERY LTD, said: “The word Caribbean does not exist without Carib in front of it and so we wanted to create a Christmas campaign for the entire region, in order to celebrate the special community spirit that runs across the islands.”
Good Samaritan tells the story of a local bus driver who goes to great pains to fulfil his role as a pillar of the local community at Christmas time. As the story unfolds, we see him touch the lives of everyone in the community as they come together for Christmas. At the end of the long day, as he returns home alone later that evening, we see that the community has a special way to say thank you to their own Father Christmas - a gift of Carib Beer.
Mark Hunter, CCO Accomplice London, said: “Our challenge was to tell a Christmas story that was both uniquely Caribbean but at the same time universal. With Good Samaritan we’ve done just that. The story is human to the core, and we hope it touches people with its warmth and provides some much-needed cheer this Christmas season.”
Erik Uddenberg, chief marketing officer at CARIB BREWERY LTD, said: “Community values are at the heart of everything we do at Carib Brewery and so it was important for us to us to tell a story rooted in the truth of how people come together during this very special time of year. In Accomplice London, we found a partner capable of tapping into something very emotional that will touch people deeply and ring true across the entire Caribbean region. We see this campaign as having real long-term potential.”
Ryan Lietaer, CEO Accomplice London commented: “We are thrilled to partnering with Carib Brewery across a number of exciting initiatives at the moment and what better way to kick off our new relationship than with this heart-warming Christmas campaign.
