International development charity CARE International UK has appointed The Marketing Store to drive awareness and recruit participants for the ‘Walk In Her Shoes’ charity walk challenge in March 2013.
The ‘Walk In Her Shoes’ campaign will combine social media with targeted experiential marketing to reach professional women in the UK and prompt them to participate in the challenge.
‘Walk In Her Shoes’ is a global fundraising event run by CARE International to highlight the plight of women and girls in the developing world who walk many miles every day collecting water and firewood for their families.
The funds raised by ‘Walk In Her Shoes’ participants will go towards reducing the time women and girls spend walking by helping to build wells, boreholes and standing taps close to their homes, allowing them to go to school, find work and reach their full potential in life.
