Camino is quickly expanding internationally and the UK is one of the markets they are focused on as one of the world’s most creative and dynamic. Camino has a lot of experience working with English companies and are now investing in a team member on the ground with a deeper understanding of the English industry, spreading Caminos message and reaching new opportunities. No one better for that than Rudy Downey.
Rudy is a sales professional with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She started in this industry as a receptionist at 2AM. She jumped into sales with some of the most respected production companies and went back to 2AM during covid, a full circle moment in her career. “And how ironic that this exciting opportunity with Camino has come through the most wonderful recommendation from the incredible Executive Producer Chris Cable!“
Looking back over the last 20 years, Rudy says: “If I’ve learnt anything in my years, it’s that this industry is small, and everyone talks. It’s paramount that we always put our best foot forward, otherwise… what’s the point?
"My worth here is in my contacts and my reputation, so I was so excited to team up with a company like Camino that spoke to me about their incredible ethics, morals and vision," she says, referring to Caminos sustainability and standing for gender equality in the industry.
She approaches every project with optimism and feels aligned to Camino. “What could be better than working with intelligent, enthusiastic, young, vibrant and nice people in Spain. Nothing really… Nothing!”
