Everything started back in 2020. Three friends got together with the aim of starting a project that crossed borders and took into account the world we live in today. Laura Diez, EP with 15 years of experience in international production, Leila Cherifi, photographer and producer, and Joan Carles Gómez, multi-disciplinary artist, had an idea which ended up idea taking the form of Camino. It’s been two years since they started this adventure, creating the kind of company they always wanted to work with and work for, based on three main foundations: creativity, flexibility and quality.
Camino was born in a moment of change within the industry, in which production companies need to adapt to the challenges they faced. Understanding the market and being aware of the considerable number of great service production companies in Spain, Camino offers an alternative, boutique and bespoke service to others out there. All projects are unique, and as such Camino curates the best creative solutions for each individual project, taking care of every small detail in front of and behind the camera, with high end product as the only option.
Values are important. Camino is a sustainable company. The three founders are young and consciously engaged in fighting the global environmental situation that jeopardises everyone. The company carefully considers their interaction with the environment during the production process and reduces their carbon footprint continually, supporting local eco projects and associations. Their aim is to reduce the negative impact of the industry with the world we live.
Camino also fights for gender equality. Two of their three founders are women and as a company they understand the importance of creating balanced crews and having women in executive roles.
Among their future objectives is building connections with new markets. They have already started creating alliances with production companies from the rest of Europe, Asia and the United States.
