Rigby joins the agency as head of communications and new business, whilst Bennett will relocate to New York to take on the global head of marketing position
Brittney Rigby has joined DDB Group Australia as head of communications and new business as Lindsay Bennett is promoted to global head of marketing for DDB Worldwide.

In the new role Rigby, who was previously deputy managing editor at Mumbrella, will lead internal and external communications as well as business development across DDB Group nationally, including Tribal, Track, Mango, Interbrand and DDB Remedy.

During her two years at Mumbrella, Rigby has been promoted twice, contributed to the editorial strategy, and broken agenda-setting stories on the industry. As a qualified lawyer, she led the content strategy for law firm LegalVision before Mumbrella and has also written for mastheads, including The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, Crikey and SBS.

In recognition of her success in Australia, Lindsay Bennett has been promoted to global head of marketing for DDB Worldwide and plans to relocate to New York later this year. In the newly created role, Bennett will lead the marketing function for DDB globally, spanning 200 offices in 90 countries.

Says Andrew Little, CEO, DDB Group Australia: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Brittney Rigby to our agency and continue to drive DDB’s reputation in Australia. Additionally, it is wonderful to see Lindsay recognised for her contribution to DDB Group Australia. We look forward to seeing what she does on the global stage.”

Says Rigby: “At Mumbrella, I’ve had an inside view of the media and advertising industry, and I’ve always been impressed by DDB. It’s a high performer, creating market-leading work for its clients, and I am beyond excited to tell its continued story of growth and effectiveness.”

Says Bennett: “I am sad to be leaving the team at such an exciting time for DDB in Australia. It really is the best bunch of talented and nice humans and I’m so proud to have been a part of our shared success. Equally, the opportunity to craft more of this globally is a great honour. I am excited to work with the global team on the next chapter of the DDB story.”

Rigby commences her new role in April.
