BOSTON , MA - August 2, 2010 Brickyard VFX in Boston, MA announced today that it is offering full HD Virtual Telecine sessions with Company 3 in Los Angeles, CA. Based on the success of the Virtual Telecine pipeline already in place between the two facilities, a new investment in technology infrastructure now provides Boston area clients access to live full HD resolution telecine sessions with Company 3’s industry-leading colorists.
“We figured, what the heck—everybody's working in HD anyway, so why not get the latest gear and blow folks away with a nice big picture to make the experience more like a trip to Company 3," commented Brickyard co-founder Dave Waller. “The whole thing is a lot greener than flying an agency team around the country, too, when you think of all that jet fuel and the uncomfortable TSA searches."
“We always strive to provide technical and logistical solutions to better serve our clients, and we’re thrilled that our Boston clients can now participate in remote color grading sessions in full HD,” said Luis Ribeiro, VP Business Development for Company 3.
A virtual outpost of Company 3 since 2004, Brickyard VFX employs Company 3’s remote technology for post production services on commercials and features, enabling clients to collaborate in real time on color grading projects with Company 3 artists. A high-resolution HD monitor calibrated by a certified Company 3 engineer, ensures that client feedback reaches a Company 3 colorist in Los Angeles or New York without delays or color discrepancies.
Brickyard invested in new HD monitors to facilitate live collaboration with Company 3 colorists, and also upgraded its Aspera faspex accelerator software, allowing Company 3 to transport large amounts data independent of resolution directly to Brickyard’s server.
