Blue Bunny Ice Cream Crowns the Softest Dad in America for Father's Day

We all know that dads have a secret or not-so-secret soft side. They might seem manly, coaching little league and mastering the grill– but sometimes learning to French braid and doing pirouettes is just a part of fatherhood. Blue Bunny searched for America’s Softest Dad, who isn’t afraid to pull back the dad curtain and really show their soft sides in the Softest Dad in America contest. 

Blue Bunny, in partnership with Crispin Porter + Bogusky, created the Softest Dad in America contest to promote the new frozen treat product, Soft Scoopables. This easy-to-scoop, soft serve is perfectly servable right out of the freezer – honouring all of the soft dads out there!

Launching on Father’s Day, ice cream lovers could nominate the dads and father figures in their lives who really let their guard down to be a little goofy, a little funny, and yes, a little soft. Participants could visit the website, or use the hashtag #BBSoftestDadContest on Instagram. The public then voted from July 27-30 for which of the finalists they thought should be named The Softest Dad in America. 

The winner, Jordan from Colorado Springs, is a  police officer by day, but a total softy of a dad by night! When the uniform comes off, Jordan is all in dad mode –always down to paint some nails, do some hair, or play princess like a pro. Jordan makes every moment with his girls soft and special.

The crowned Softest Dad in America will tell the world about his achievement with The Softest Throne in America. This ultra-soft, ultra-comfortable, ultra nap-able Blue Bunny Soft Recliner worth up to $15,000 is decked out with various bells and whistles, like a mini freezer in the back to hold Blue Bunny Soft Scoopables, a secret compartment for snacks, and white noise speakers for when he is “just closing his eyes”.  

In addition, the Top 10 finalists, including The Softest Dad in America, received a Summer’s worth of Blue Bunny Soft Scoopables to enjoy with their families awarded through a $250 gift card.
