The Verizon Super Bowl spot from Ogilvy teases new music drop - and Beyonce launches 'Texas Hold 'em' and '16 Carriages' straight after ad airs
Can Beyonce break the internet? Last night's Verizon Super Bowl ad came close. Not only did it see the pop icon drop a bright pink Barbie look and give us the presidential candidate the world needs right now, the spot also teased a whole new album from Queen B herself.

The spot, from Ogilvy, sees Beyonce and Arrested Development star Tony Hale work together to break the internet in a series of escalating stunts - but in the end Verizon's network just won't be stopped. It's all an elaborate run up to a cheeky tease as she announces 'Ok, they ready - drop the new music!'. After the spot aired on Sunday Feb 11th, Beyonce revealed a new album, 'Act II' and dropped two tracks that reveal a surprising and internet-breaking adventure in Country & Western. 'Texas Hold 'em' and '16 Carriages' mark a change of pace for the album that looks set to arrive on March 29.

Last week, Verizon were already dropping breadcrumbs about their high voltage Super Bowl star. They trailed a couple of ads starring Tony Hale alongside some fairly unsubtle Beyonce Easter eggs - a pile of lemons in reference to Lemonade, and a sparkly silver horse, which had a central role in the Renaissance tour.
