On 3 May, World Press Freedom day, Reporters Without Borders, rolled out an eye-catching campaign. The international, non-profit, non-governmental organisation that defends and fights for freedom of information and free press teamed up with BETC Paris in a bid to raise public awareness.
The prints show a selection of non-democratic leaders that, through their politics, impede journalists from practising their profession.
With this campaign, Reporters Without Borders wants to remind people of how freedom of information is a prerequisite for everyone to be able to exercise their role as a citizen.
Reporters Without Borders’ activities are carried out on five continents through its network of over 150 correspondents, its national sections, and its close collaboration with local and regional press freedom groups. It currently has ten offices and sections worldwide.
