BETC London has appointed Simon Morris to the newly created position of head of art. In this new role, Morris will lead the agency’s art direction, governing the style, look and feel across all clients including Bacardi, Diet Coke, Samsung and Cow & Gate. Morris will work alongside head of copy, Clive Pickering, and report to founder and executive creative director Neil Dawson. His appointment is effective immediately.
Neil Dawson comments: “First the Diet Coke man, now Simon Morris. We're spoiled. Simon is an enormous talent and we're thrilled he's joined BETC bringing style. Taste. Craft. Detail… Full stop. (But only if Simon thinks it requires a full stop.)”
Morris is one of London’s finest art directors and brings over 20 years of experience to BETC London from top London agencies. Morris has spent the majority of his career as Head of Art at Lowe Howard-Spink, moving to DLKW in 2009 and consequently DLKW Lowe. During this time he crafted multi award-winning work across Reebok, Peeterman Artois and Imperial Tobacco to name a few.
Morris and BETC head of copy Clive Pickering are reforming a historically very successful partnership having worked together at Lowe on the celebrated John Lewis account amongst others. Most recently Morris was Head of Art at Rapier.
Since opening its doors in June 2011, BETC London is fast becoming one of London’s leading young creative agencies. Most recently winning the global Bacardi business and bringing back the Diet Coke hunk in smash hit ‘Gardener’ TVC.
