After 15 transformative years, co-founder and managing director Timmy Sampson is stepping away from Bearded Kitten, marking the end of one era, and the start of a new one. This transition has paved the way for a leadership refresh to guide the agency into 2025 and beyond.
Barney Sutton steps into the role of CEO, with Joana Ferrão taking on the newly created position of chief creative officer. Joining them are Becca Ratcliffe (ex-160/90) and Richie Gage (ex-Amplify), who will lead as managing partners. Becca will focus on client services and growth, while Richie will oversee production and project delivery.
Completing the leadership team are operations director Dilly Mason and newly promoted creative director Milly van Os, further strengthening Bearded Kitten’s creative and operational capabilities.
Barney Sutton, CEO, said, “We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for a while to nail the new leadership team, and I think we’ve done just that.
"With our dear friend Timmy leaving, it allowed us to reimagine our structure and bring in a couple of seasoned superstars in Richie and Becca for the new MP roles. We’re delighted with the appointments. Bearded Kitten is flying and our global pipeline for the upcoming years looks fantastic. Bring on 2025!”
With offices in London, Lisbon, and Sydney, Bearded Kitten continues to grow its global presence, working with leading brands such as Intuit Mailchimp, Google DeepMind, and Amazon.
