BBDO Toronto announced today two new appointments to strengthen its senior management leadership team. Paul Reilly, currently EVP, Executive Managing Director, has been named Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Rosie Gentile has been named SVP Connections Strategy, Data and Insights. Both appointments go into effect immediately.
“Over the past year, we’ve made a number of moves to keep us at the front of the ever-evolving changes taking place in our industry. For example, we’ve added capabilities in video content and data-driven strategy. Paul and Rosie are key leaders who have been helping drive that change,” said Dom Caruso, President and CEO at BBDO Canada.
Mr. Reilly has more than 20 years’ agency experience, the last 11 of which have been with BBDO Toronto. He first joined the agency in 2005 as Managing Director, overseeing the RBC account. While at BBDO, he’s also worked in pharma, financial services, automotive and more. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Reilly will continue his responsibilities and take on the added role of overseeing the agency’s day-to-operations including its newly established Flare in-house video production and post-production units.
Ms. Gentile also boasts more than 20 years’ agency experience and is widely regarded as one of Canada’s top digital and data strategists, with deep experience in customer acquisition and retention, channel strategy and optimization. She joined Proximity Canada in 2013 as VP, Integrated Strategy and Insights, applying her skills across a broad range of clients and categories including financial services, food and beverage, automotive, retail, telecommunications and more. Her new role recognises the central part that connections strategy and data intelligence now play in BBDO’s content creation.
“BBDO Toronto has been enjoying recent momentum, from new business wins to development of award-winning work,” said Caruso. “These new appointments build on this momentum and will help us continue to drive our client’s business forward.”
