Ashley is to guide a team to realise the global Jordan brand's DTC ambitions

R/GA has announced that Ashley Andrews has joined the company as a group creative director. She will be responsible for shaping and elevating the creative vision for the agency’s collaboration with Nike on the Global Jordan brand. Reporting to Shannon Washington, chief creative officer, US Ashley will guide a team to realise the DTC ambitions for the Jordan brand.

Having joined R/GA from Wunderman Thompson, Ashley held the role of vice president, group creative director where she worked across the Vaseline and Coca-Cola portfolio of brands, along with Amazon, and Shell accounts. Her work contributed to the agency winning 22 awards. Before this, she held senior creative roles at Moxie, and her brand experience included Verizon, Amazon, Audi, QVC, HSN, Delta Airlines, and Kimberly Clark, to name a few. She will use this experience, and her love of basketball to position the Jordan brand and bring value to the brand experience for consumers.

“Ashley’s passion for great design and creativity has led her to work on some of the world’s best brands and guide dynamic teams along the way. When we first met, she gave me some insight into her world of being a Mom and raising two athletes. For us, this is a superpower that gives her an authentic connection to the Jordan brand and the sport of basketball in a deeper way. It was a done deal,” said Shannon Washington, chief creative officer, US at R/GA.

She began her career as a designer at various companies like iHeart (formerly Clear Channel Communications), and BKV, where she created digital marketing and eCRM campaigns for The Home Depot and AT&T. From there, she honed her skills and then transitioned into art direction where she made significant contributions.

The R/GA-Jordan Brand partnership has a history of creating disruptive experiences that sit at the intersection of emerging technology and culture. A notable, award-winning collaboration includes A/R Jordan, a first-of- its-kind AR commerce experience that dropped the AJIII during All-Star Weekend.

Based out of Atlanta, Ashley joins a growing community of R/GA employees in this region. Last year, R/GA redesigned its organisational structure from an office-based to a practice-based approach under its Distributed Creativity remote work model.
