Alumni from this program include Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Versace, E! People's Choice Award Nominee The Odditty and Webby Award winning group the Critics Company

Two years ago YouTube announced the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund to amplify Black perspectives and experiences. The company wanted to directly support Black creators, artists, songwriters and producers so they can be equipped with the resources to thrive here on YouTube. The hope is to continue to support and celebrate these creators as they show their talent and uniqueness throughout our platform.

If that sounds like you, then submit your Black Voices Fund Application for the class of 2023

Grants will be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the United States for Creators, Artists, Songwriters, and Producers.

Alumni from this program include Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Versace, E! People's Choice Award Nominee The Odditty and Webby Award winning group the Critics Company. These are just a few of the many talented creators and artists who are shaping the culture.

Grant applications are officially open for the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund Class of 2023! Creators, artists, songwriters, and producers are all encouraged to apply. Check out our FAQ for eligibility information.

Sofi Ibrahim (TheOdditty), creator and current BVF cohort, says: “As a content creator a lot of your work is often isolated. #YouTubeBlack gave me the opportunity to build a community with people who not only looked like me, but deeply understood my journey as a creator. Thanks to the Black Voices Fund program, I’ve made lifetime friends and learned so much about my content and YouTube in general. I’d do this a million times over - thank you YouTube!!”

Nija Charles, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and BVF alum, says: "Black Voices Fund has allowed me to express a deeper level of my creativity and I'm thankful YouTube has built a platform for creatives like me. It was great being a member of the BVF class of '21 and connecting with the other members."

Taty Cokely, creator and current BVF, comments: “The Black Voices Fund has allowed me to find my space within the industry much more confidently. It's allowed me to learn from the best about everything from lighting choices to believing in yourself and your content. Typically, our community isn't given these resources so it can make it feel as if there is a glass ceiling for us that we just can't break through. This program has allowed us to shatter that ceiling and amplify our voices and our message to the masses. I now feel so prepared and empowered to continue spreading my message to young women across the GLOBE! I am eternally grateful for the program.”
