Apple Introduces Daisy the Innovative Recycling Robot to Celebrate Earth Day

To celebrate Earth Day, Apple is introducing Daisy, its innovative recycling robot, revealing the intricate recycling process created to support sustainability.

The content on the @apple Instagram, titled ‘Recycled is Powerful', spotlights the recycling process. All of the process has been shot on an iPhone, and shown through the perspective of an iPhone.

Daisy can recover a variety of rare-earth elements that are able to end up back in the supply chain, which enables Apple to use them again. 

Every 1 ton of components Daisy salvages has the same amount of copper and gold as over 2,000 tons of newly mined rock.

The pioneering Daisy robot is able to recycle up to 1.2 million iPhones a year.
