A 'Bunny' new series hit UK TV screens on Saturday 6th February 2021 at 9am on Milkshake-Channel 5. The international ensemble of the Ukrainian production company Glowberry, Spanish studio Anima and British distribution company Aardman have produced the wonderful pre-school animation Brave Bunnies. The series has already been a hit within the MIPJunior screenings library being one of the most viewed programmes with positive reviews amongst the most influential international experts.
This 2D series, created by Olga Cherepanova and directed by Tim Fehrenbach, follows a curious family of bunnies travelling on the Bunny Bus. Brother and sister Bunnies Bop and Boo discover a variety of different animals on their journey, often creating games and always making friends. Brave Bunnies explores the diversity within the world whilst encouraging young viewers to accept and embrace the differences in one another.
Fitzrovia Post provided its services to record all the voices for the series. The studio is well known for its dedication to provide impeccable audio for various animated projects. Glowberry and Fitzrovia Post have worked closely to cast the wonderfully talented voices heard in the series. Many of the characters were played by young children from as young at 5. The team at Fitzrovia are incredibly experienced in working with children; the studios hold a fun and safe atmosphere where their needs come first. The audio post production company has a reputation for specialising in children’s animation so this was bound to be the perfect partnership.
Voice records were directly impacted by the pandemic and as a result production slowed. However, Fitzrovia Post's director Keiran Brown, along with his team, invested in specialised technology and adapted to continue recording sessions with key characters remotely in a Covid-safe way. Without his leadership and ability to adapt the productions would have grounded to a halt. Fitzrovia Post has used this same approach to keep many productions afloat during this time.
“It was imperative that we continued recording with artists from the [Brave Bunnies] series to provide some sense of fun and normality to the children’s lives," said Keiran Brown.
This inspiring series has already seen deals for its broadcast with Nick Jr (UK), Super RTL (Germany), ABC (Australia), YLE (Finland), HOP! (Israel), PlusPlus (Ukraine), Daekyo (South Korea) and Milkshake! (UK). The international nature of the series alongside the lessons portrayed within the series are bound to see the series become a global success. This ambitious goal, when achieved, will see young audiences around the world grow up with the teachings shared is the beautifully illustrated production. Brave Bunnies will shape future generations with notions of acceptance and courageousness.
