UNIT9's Angelo Cerisara has directed a vibrant new video for Uber Night. The film follows three different journeys in ten-second sections, connecting individual moments by the common thread of Uber Night.
Speaking of the campaign, Angelo says: "I really enjoyed working with the Uber Night team, they are young, talented and vibrant, so the set vibe was great. Telling three different journeys in ten seconds was tricky, so we decided to connect them together. We did this by following the journey of three friends, picking a different moment of the night for each. By doing so, each stand-alone film tells an individual story, but all of them are connected by a common thread. This was facilitated by the fantastic locations we found, which reminded me of The Fábrica the Arte Cubano in Havana."
Angelo Cerisara is a London based director. Growing up in freestyle sports movements in Italy, he spent his youth filming parkour and skateboarding. He not only developed the skills to operate the equipment, but also earned an aesthetic eye for dynamic shots. In 2018, he directed a documentary about mental illness with the Ethiopian artist Frehiwot, which won the UK Winner at the Nespresso Talent in Cannes. He recently directed the short film Ode From Joyce, inspired by Benjamin Clementine’s work of the same name, which starred Laetitia Lawrence.
