Amazon Partners with gnarly bay to Bring ‘Amazing Amazonians’ to the US

In the US debut of Amazon’s ‘Amazing Amazonians’ series, gnarly bay was brought in to bring its signature style of authentic and heightened documentary filmmaking to the JBL1 factory in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Amazon approached gnarly bay because of its reputation for creating high-quality, emotionally resonant work, and the first installment of ‘Amazing Amazonians’ is no exception. The US premiere, 'Life Saving Sacrifice', tells the incredible story of an Amazon employee’s kidney donation and the impact it had on a fellow employee and her family.

The episode follows the journey of Erinn as she details her donation story to Brittany, a co-worker’s daughter-in-law, who was facing a wait of three to five years for a kidney transplant. Thanks to Erinn’s generosity, Brittany's wait was reduced to just a matter of months allowing Brittany to avoid dialysis.

'Life Saving Sacrifice' is a moving and inspiring example of the power of organ donation and the impact it can have on people's lives. Through this collaboration, gnarly bay and Amazon hope to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and inspire more people to consider becoming donors.
