Grab your suitcases - the Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) is set to host its first-ever live travel event, exploring the latest trends in travel influencer marketing.
The in-person event, to be held this Thursday, November 7th at Edelman’s Sydney office, will explore current and predicted trends in the travel and influencer marketing landscape, along with insights into developing a foolproof travel marketing strategy.
The event has been designed for AiMCO brands, agencies and creators, who are looking to drive success across their travel content in the coming months, learning from experts on what’s trending in travel #inspo and the power of authentic storytelling in travel marketing.
The event will feature an expert panel of travel marketing professionals, including Edelman Head of Social and Influencer, Drew Collins, travel Influencer and Aerial Photographer, Gab Scanu, and Klook AU and NZ Influencer Manager, Hannah Chiu.
Collins has more than a decade of experience in digital, social and influencer marketing, working for brands across consumer tech, fin-tech, SMB, B2B, FMCG and travel. He has led influencer campaigns and executions for some of Edelman’s key accounts, and established go-to-market influencer offerings for Edelman Australia and APAC, leveraging best practice and insights from the industry. He is a former B&T 30 Under 30 winner and is also a member of the AiMCO Guiding Council.
Scanu is trailblazing contemporary landscape photography with his breathtaking aerial landscapes and coastlines. He has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands to produce content including Disney, Samsung, Google and Louis Vuitton. Scanu’s work has featured in a range of international publications including Mashable, The Guardian, and Huffpost. He is now helping other creators grow their platforms.
Chiu leads the Kreator program in Australia and New Zealand for the global travel platform Klook; a fresh new approach merging influencer and affiliate marketing that leverages the collective power of nano to mega influencers with unique audiences. She has worked with DMOs, local operators and brand partners like Disneyland Resort in California and Universal Studios Japan to bring their stories to life through Kreators.
AiMCO Managing Director, Patrick Whitnall, said: “Travel marketing is a constantly evolving space, with trends in both content and travel styles quickly shifting as travellers seek inspiration from creators. This event is designed to help our AiMCO community stay ahead of the curve, with our expert panel offering key insights on what’s hot now – and what’s coming – in the travel world.
“This live event is part of AiMCO’s commitment to providing critical education and information opportunities for our members. Travel content has been top-of-mind for agencies, creators and brand partners, so this is a good opportunity for our members to elevate their travel marketing strategies.”
The live travel event follows a series of virtual information sessions, hosted by AiMCO for its members in 2024. Webinars have explored topics including safe mental health content, influencer agreements, and the 2024 Cannes Lions creator offering.
AiMCO’s live travel event will be held on Thursday, November 7 from 8am at the Edelman Offices, 44 Market St, Sydney.
