Advertising Week APAC 2023 will be returning to Sydney shores for two days of bigger and better industry talk, including a panel hosted by LBB’s own Toby Hemming

Advertising Week APAC (AWAPAC) is back for another year, returning to Sydney’s iconic Luna Park on 1-2 August 2023. The event will bring the entire advertising and marketing industry together for incredible networking opportunities, discussion panels, and the debut of the AWAPAC Future is Female Awards, presented by LinkedIn.

With an incredible lineup featuring top industry leaders and experts, AWAPAC is the ultimate platform for networking, learning and staying updated on the latest trends in marketing.

As always, Advertising Week APAC 2023 promises an exceptional lineup of featured speakers that will discuss key industry developments, projects and areas for change.

LBB’s Toby Hemming will be presenting a panel that will provide an insight into one of the hardest questions for the industry to answer the question; How Do We Put a Value on Creativity? Featuring industry leaders WPP AUNZ head of strategy Katie Rigg-Smith and Supermassive co-founder Laura Aldington, the panel promises to bring the industry together around the big question at the heart of the marketing ecosystem

Attendees will also hear from a host of the industry’s brightest minds, including Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw of KISS FM’s National Drive Show, Rory Sutherland, vice chairman at Ogilvy UK and James Holloman, chief marketing officer at David Jones, alongside many more. The carefully curated schedule of sessions will cover a myriad of topics relevant to marketing enthusiasts at any career stage, including the following not-to-be-missed sessions:

  • Will & Woody: How To Put The Rad In Radio
  • Good Chat with Matty Johns and Gary Jubelin
  • Boldly Go: William Shatner on Technology, Innovation, and our Planet
  • From the Boardroom to the Field: Women Can Win Together breakfast presented by Double Verify
  • I Knew Advertising Would Change. But I Need Help Predicting What’s Next with Edwina Bartholomew and Russel Howcroft
  • The Angel City Effect: How Hollywood’s Home Grown Women’s Pro Soccer Team is Changing the Face of Sports
  • Shattering Stereotypes: Embracing Age Diversity for a Thriving Media Industry by Meredith Ansoul and Linda Robson

Speaking on the exciting upcoming event, Advertising Week’s global president Ruth Mortimer said, “AWAPAC is a unique opportunity for the industry’s next generation of talent to learn from the best, build invaluable connections and bolster their skillset with practical advice and tools that will help them stand out in a highly competitive job market.”

“We are excited for a bigger and better AWAPAC this year! This year is particularly special as we introduce the AWAPAC Future is Female Awards with our partners at LinkedIn, following its success in New York, London, Johannesburg and Tokyo. The Awards aim to create a community of women from diverse backgrounds, ages and roles who are defining leadership within the industry.”

Director, Advertising Week APAC, Clive Prosser, has this to say about the event’s return for another year: “Like every other year, we have been working extremely hard to curate an incredible event lineup which will spark conversation, debate and connection within the industry. Advertising Week APAC 2023 will bring together some of the most exciting thought leaders in the industry to consider what the future looks like, analyse how we’re going and set a path forward for greatness.”
