adam&eveDDB London welcomes five new hires to its creative department as the agency bolsters its creative firepower to manage a surge of new business and evolving client needs.
Beauty specialist Zoë Doyle joins as a creative director, becoming the global creative lead for Unilever-owned hair care brand, Sunsilk. Hailing from Australia, Zoë brings a wealth of beauty, skincare, and lifestyle experience to the role, having led campaigns for Estée Lauder, Tom Ford Beauty, Ren Skincare, Coty and Max Factor. Prior to adam&eveDDB, Zoë was creative director at luxury fashion and lifestyle agency Spring Studios and senior art director at Burberry.
William Cottam and James Crosby join as creative directors from McCann London, where they worked across the agency’s Just Eat, Xbox, and Show Racism The Red Card (SRTRC) accounts. Their portfolio includes the Cannes Lions Gold award-winning, ‘Fabric of England’ campaign for SRTRC, and a Just Eat campaign featuring West Coast rapper, Snoop Dogg - the first spot that saw the brand recruit a popular music star to remix their catchy jingle. Before joining McCann, the duo spent five years at CHI&Partners, and worked at Mother and BBH, prior to this.
Ben Polkinghorne joins as creative director, bringing a decade of creative experience from agencies including AMV BBDO, Wieden+Kennedy and Colenso BBDO. Ben has overseen award-winning campaigns for brands such as Macmillan, Essity, and COPI (Central Office of Public Interest), picking up the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Good in 2021 for the latter brand’s ‘Address Pollution’ campaign.
Senior creative Sarsha Drakeford joins following a brief stint at VML. A much-garlanded creative, Sarsha spent nearly a decade at DDB in her native New Zealand, most recently as art director, working with network clients McDonald’s and Volkswagen, as well as brands such as Boots, Coca-Cola, and Samsung.
All five new senior creative hires will report to Ant Nelson and Mike Sutherland, executive creative directors at adam&eveDDB.
Executive creative directors Ant Nelson and Mike Sutherland said, “We are absolutely thrilled that this incredibly talented bunch are joining adam&eveDDB. Each of them brings their own unique skill-set and way of thinking, which will no doubt help us deliver brilliant and different shaped work for all of our clients.”
In 2023, adam&eveDDB picked up an impressive loot of creative accolades. The agency was crowned D&AD Agency of the Year, Cannes UK Agency of the Year, Campaign BIG Agency of the Year for the second year running, and British arrows Agency of the Year.
This year, the agency’s D&AD awards comprise 11 pencils across six campaigns, including two Yellow Pencils for their hyper-targeted campaign for the V&A, ‘If you’re into it, it’s in the V&A’.
