Soho based post-production studio, Absolute, have announced the promotion of Kirsty Murray to executive producer.
Kirsty has extensive experience in leading VFX-heavy campaigns for agencies such as adam&eveDDB, Weiden+Kennedy & FCB. In her new role as executive producer, she will continue to strengthen and nurture client relationships, working across new business whilst promoting the post house’s expansive offering.
Kirsty joined the team in 2014, following a seven-year stint at Glassworks. During her time at Absolute, her varied experience has seen her work with legendary director, Baz Luhrmann for H&M, as well as producing direct to client campaigns for brands such as UNICEF and Clarks.
Over the past year, she has been increasingly involved in Absolute’s animation arm, Blind Pig. The studio has witnessed an incredible upturn in work over the past twelve months - something Kirsty believes is down to clients embracing alternative methods of storytelling, with animation at the forefront.
Kirsty comments: “I’m excited to help Absolute and Blind Pig forge new client relationships and expand creative opportunities. We have an incredibly talented bunch across the board, and I want to make sure everyone knows about them!”
When she’s not immersed in VFX, you’ll find Kirsty busy wrangling her two-year-old son. “I’m yet to decide which is harder!” she admits.
Absolute’s managing director, Dan Bennett, adds: “Kirsty’s technical prowess and natural flare for client service makes her the perfect fit for the executive team. Throughout 2020, Kirsty helped to spearhead new initiatives to expand our client base and create some fantastic creative work in what was a truly challenging market. We’re delighted with her promotion to EP!”
